WWF MSG 4-21-1980

“Pretty Boy” Larry Sharpe v. Mike Masters
Masters was a big dude but he had no experience. Sharpe went on to open the Monster Factory wrestling school and trained Bam Bam Bigelow, among others. The fans began by whistling at Sharpe as he disrobed, catcalling him. Masters started off on fire, delivering forearms but Sharpe shut him down and controlled the whole match. Sharpe worked on Masters' left arm/shoulder with arm holds like the crossface chickenwing. Masters got like three hope spots and the fans really got into them but he missed two corner shoulder rams. On the second miss, Sharpe grabbed him, yelled “watch this” and delivered a piledriver for the win.
Pretty dull and basic match as Sharpe out-wrestled him and used his experience to win the match.

Greg Gagne v. Jose Estrada

This was a pretty good match with very quick action. Estrada was a former WWF Junior Heavyweight Champion and one of the original Conquistadors. To win that title, he beat Tony Garea on January 20, 1978 in Uniondale, NY and only held it for three days. His son, Jose Estrada Jr., went on to wrestle for the WWF in the 90's. Referee Terry Terranova went over the rules and they both shook hands. This match started out competitive with back-and-forth wrestling. They exchanged waist locks until Estrada used his momentum to get out of the hold and send Gagne outside. Estrada invited him back in , Gagne accepted, and they shook hands again.

Then, Estrada got on a hammerlock but Gagne used his momentum to escape, sending Estrada outside. Gagne invited him back to return the favor and Estrada was upset. Estrada got back in and attacked him viciously with strikes and the game of mutual respect was over. Estrada rammed him into the corner but he missed a big elbow and Gagne went crazy. Estrada was begging off and bumping for him well but he raked the eyes of Gagne. Gagne sent him for the ride but Gagne hit a leapfrog into a monkey flip followed by an arm drag, and finished with a headscissors and the place went nuts.

However, Gagne missed a dropkick but Estrada immediately missed a knee drop. Gagne got back up, nailed a back drop and two dropkicks and pinned Estrada. This match was a nice little gem that told a good story of competition turned bad, showing Estrada's frustration as it started face v. face.

Pat Patterson v. Ken Patera w/Grand Wizard-Intercontinental Title

Going back in time, the Wizard used to manage Patterson so he knows all his tricks. Pat had control for the beginning, working on Patera's arm. They had a fast exchange that Patterson won but Ken did get in a nice leapfrog. Patera finally got control with a well placed kick and he threw Patterson outside onto the floor. He threw Pat into the railing and even slammed him onto the concrete. Ken was destroying him, not letting him get back inside. Patera hit one backbreaker and then hoisted Patterson up for another as he began working on the back. He nailed in a bearhug and this was where one really gets a good look at how well Patterson sells. His facials are magnificent and the crowd was into this match heavily.
Patera hit a full nelson but Patterson got to the ropes and Ken hit another bearhug. He went for another full nelson but Patterson countered with a mule kick and then he hit a big back drop. Patterson was in full swing here as he was hitting rights and lefts and the place was going crazy. Patterson threw him outside, grabbed Ken's leg, and rammed his knee into the post twice.
They're both back in the ring and Patterson was chasing him and kicking his knee as Patera ended up caught in the ropes. Pat hit a figure four but Ken got to the ropes, which led to a second broke figure four. The fans were into everything Patterson did. Patera tried to outsmart him but missed in the corner and he went shoulder first into the post. Patterson pinned him for a two-count as Patera's foot was on the rope but Pat thought it was a three-count and he began arguing with the ref. Then, Pat ran at Ken and he got shoved into the ref. Patera went up top and delivered a big knee to Patterson's back. He then pinned him but Pat had his foot on the rope and the ref didn't see it. Ken Patera won the Intercontinental Title and he called Patterson a has been but Pat came running after him to no avail. Pat was very disgruntled as he yelled at the ref and even asked the crowd to tell the ref about the mistake he made. This was a pretty damn good match with a great crowd reaction, making it even better. It really started to heat up as Patterson got going for revenge on Ken Patera. Both of these guys were great in their roles and Patterson's selling was top-notch.
You can check out this match on WWE Home Video's History of the Intercontinental Title DVD set and if you have it, Coliseum Video's VHS release of The Ken Patera Story

The Samoan #2/Sika v. Domenic DeNucci

This was incredibly dull and boring and even Vince commented that there wasn't a great deal of action. Sika was on top most of the most with strikes and nerve holds, although DeNucci did manage a nice kip-up out of one. DeNucci tried a headbutt that backfired. DeNucci also put in a spinning toe hold and tried to work the leg but didn't last long. Vince said “let's hope DeNucci isn't diseased for life messing with his toes.” Sika went back on the offensive and ended up back dropping DeNucci over the top-rope and he got counted out.

Bruno Sammartino w/Arnold Skaaland v. Larry Zbyszko
Bruno and Larry had a few rematches of their initial January 22nd match prior to this match, not all of them in MSG. This match was mostly strikes but it told a good story about the hatred between these two, especially coming from Bruno. Larry attacked him right away and kicked Bruno outside. He then followed him and threw him into the railing and into the apron.

Larry stayed on top until a questionable low blow kick from Bruno that the ref did nothing about. This was a case of Bruno doing whatever it took to stay alive. The place popped after this and Bruno kept on him with lots of strikes. Larry was sent outside and Bruno followed to throw him into the railings twice. Bruno would not let Larry back in as he was so livid towards him. Bruno wanted a piece of Larry Zbyszko and he wouldn't give him an inch with the crowd leading Bruno chants. He even choked him with his boot outside on the floor. As Bruno was destroying him, Larry decides to high tail it back to the dressing room and was counted out. Bruno and the fans did not like this as they both thought it was bullshit. Bruno did not care about the victory at all as he just wanted to take out Zbyszko. This match was pretty straight forward and not a classic, by any means but it was still fun and hot. It actually gears me up to see future rematches these guys had together as even I want to see Bruno get a hold of Larry.

“Bulldog” Brower/Tor Kamata v. Jay Youngblood/Ricky Steamboat
This was one of those that caught me towards the later half. The beginning was average stuff but by the end, this thing was nice. This was Ricky and Jay's first appearance at MSG, according to Vince and Howard Finkel, and they got over pretty quickly. You can really see just how good Ricky was even at this point and Youngblood looked good too. This was also my first Kamata match and I kinda like him. Kamata started the match by attacking Steamboat during the ref's rules speech and he hit some good offense for a 300 lbs. Guy, including a dropkick. This was a pretty even match with the heels taking more offense than the faces as every time the faces were in trouble, they would explode out and tag. Ricky hit some nice armdrags and a monkey flip and Youngblood hit a nice dropkick. The best part until the finish was when Kamata did a karate stance and Steamboat answered back with his own flashier stance, to which Kamata was surprised and taken back a little. Great stuff.

Later, Kamata tried for a top-rope splash but he missed badly and Steamboat went up and nailed a crossbody in retaliation. Youngblood made the tag and they both went crazy on the heels with double team moves like dropkicks and thursts/chops. The finish came when Ricky pressed up Youngblood and dropped him down onto Brower and got the pin. This match was the quickest thirteen minute match I've seen in ages. Fun little gem here.

Samoan #1/Afa w/Capt. Lou Albano v. Bob Backlund w/Arnold Skaaland-WWF Title
Boring match that picked up a little at the end during Bob's comeback. The ref was Billy Caputo. Afa got control early and kept putting on nerve holds to keep Backlund down. Every time Bob would try to power out, he'd get shut down. Vince referred to Afa as a grotesque looking individual. Finally, Bob escaped his last nerve hold with a piledriver but he couldn't keep the samoan down.
Bob came running at Afa but got dumped outside. He got put down by Afa but he finally got to the apron when Afa tried scooping him back in and Backlund reversed it into a pin attempt but to no avail. Both guys then collided in an exchange and Bob missed a subsequent elbow drop. After this, Afa put him in a samoan drop and pinned him but only got a two-count. He tried for a second attempt but Bob got behind him and rolled him up with a bridge for the pin and Bob celebrated. Bob couldn't get a lot going in this match and certainly didn't come close to dominating as he was on the bottom 95% of the time. He didn't have a lot of heat but the fans did cheer for him a little during his hope spots. Afa is my favorite Samoan as he brings his character to life with lots of noises and great facials and he made this match a little better because of all that.

The Fabulous” Hulk Hogan w/Fred Blassie v. Rene Goulet
Usual squash match with Goulet getting hardly any offense and there was a big size difference between the two competitors. Hogan controlled everything with power moves until a Goulet hope spot with a dropkick. However, Hulk pressed him up and then hit the leg drop for the win. No heat for this match but Hogan did a lot of talking to the ref and his opponent.  Did I also mention that I can't stand Hogan pre-Hulkamania?

Andre The Giant v. “Big Bad” Bob Duncam
Very short match with Andre controlling most of it and Billy Caputo was ref for a third straight match. Duncam came at Andre hard at first with a running high knee and some chokes but Andre hit a big boot and stopped him. Bob tried again with a knee and then a front face lock but a tried a slam and it cost him dearly. Andre countered with a suplex and then he sat on his chest and pinned him. There was nothing to this match but it was more interesting than the Hogan match at least.

May 19th is the next announced MSG show with a Texas Death Match between IC Champ Ken Patera and WWF Champ Bob Backlund.

WWF Primetime 1-18-1988

We open with Gorilla using a time machine to go to the present day and he heard the news that RAW was going to three hours permanently.  Actually, Gorilla and Bobby are back this week and they start talking about the WWF in Paris immediately. Gorilla said Bobby got locked up twice there but Bobby corrected him saying he got locked out twice because French keys are different that US keys.

SD Jones v. Sika

We're in Paris for this one and one has the feeling that Sika is not winning the match. This was such a boring match with nothing to it but strikes and nerve holds. In regards to the outfit of Jones, Bobby said some hotel in France is missing some curtains.

Later, Gorilla asked Bobby how has he adjusted to the language difference in France and Bobby said he's had no problems. Love and money are the international language: people are loving him and spends the money there. SD can't stay in control for long in this match before Sika pounds on him. Sika went for an elbow but Jones ducked and hit a sunset flip for the win.

Gorilla was surprised Bobby hasn't started managing Sherri, who is the women's champ, as he isn't managing any champions at this point. Bobby said he has no interest in women's wrestling.

Rockin' Robin v. Sensational Sherri-WWF Women's Title

Gorilla says where the belt goes, the money goes and that Heenan doesn't have any gold right now, and Bobby says to blame the officials. This was a mediocre match with Robin on offense most of the time and Sherri made her look strong. Sherri got control and dumped Robin outside but Robin went under the ring. Sherri didn't see this and went looking for her but Robin came up from behind with a dropkick and Sherri went flying outside herself and MSG popped big.
Sherri was really over the top in her mannerisms and selling and it was great as this made the match. Robin got some big offense going with a clothesline and then a bulldog but only got a two-count. She put Sherri on top and slammed her but she missed a disastrous leg drop the middle rope and landed hard.

I kid you not but Heenan said the women can't punch. Imagine the reaction if Cole said that on RAW. Robin was still fighting as she slammed Sherri and went back to the corner. Luck was not on her side as she missed a splash and Sherri rolled her up for the win while grabbing the tights. This match was probably a tad better than the first match from this episode but it wasn't much.

Bobby said he won't be at the Rumble this Sunday as Ted Dibiase set him up with a condo in Barbados to watch it with a bunch of island girls. Bobby then gave Gorilla a bag of imported cashews as a present, which Gorilla called weasel food.

We have an Update with Craig DeGeorge, whom Gorilla called Greg twice. Craig said he had earth shattering news that Hulk has agreed to defend the WWF Title for the first time Since WrestleMania III, against Andre the Giant on Friday February 5.

They showed clips of the Mania match and Andre's attack on Hogan on Saturday Night's Main Event after Hulk's match against Bundy. They also showed a recap of Dibiase buying off Andre.

Gorilla said there would be a title contract signing at the Rumble and he got on Bobby for not being there live saying he doesn't care. Bobby said he who doesn't look after himself usually doesn't do things and he wants things done. Gorilla might make some phone calls to make sure he doesn't see the Rumble at his condo in Barbados.

The British Bulldogs v. Brian Costello/Gino Carabello

The Bulldogs are wearing cute Matilda shirts.

Vince said that Matilda was there in spirit and that they were not the same team without Matilda as something had changed. They've become down and depressed and Bruno agreed with this. Jesse said that if your whole life revolves around a dog and if it can control your destiny, you're in bad shape and he also said the Bulldogs looked more vicious. This match was just a squash and the Bulldogs did look more vicious. Davey hit a press slam and later, a running power slam but he picked up Costello and opted not to pin him.

Both Bulldogs hit a vertical suplex as Jesse had convinced Vince that they were more vicious. The Islanders showed up with Heenan and DeGeorge as Dynamite hit a belly-to-back superplex on Carabello for the win.

The Islanders have a bowl of dog food and one of those invisible dog things on a leash and collar.

Bobby said that Jack Tunney reinstated the Islanders and if the Bulldogs wanted to know where Matilda was they should ask Tunney and the Bulldogs went to the back looking for him.

Gorilla hypothesized that Bobby returned the Islanders because he didn't want to dip into his newly acquired money to pay them during their suspension. Bobby said he was an honest guy and that someone had called him with a tip on Matilda's location, so he told that to Tunney.

Gorilla is on the phone trying to get a hold of Jesse Ventura to see if he can fill in for Bobby at the Rumble. Gorilla tells the person on the phone “he's in a cell?” and Bobby says to the camera that Gorilla is talking to his uncle. It turns out Jesse was filming a movie about a prison.

The Conquistadors/The Bolsheviks w/Slick v. The Killer Bees/JYD Bee/Animal Bee

George Steele is the Animal Bee and of course, JYD is JYD Bee and they're both wearing Bees masks. The crowd loved the faces in this one especially when they heard JYD's music play, which is totally awesome by the way. This whole match was as chaotic as you can get and very fun. The faces were in control and the heels couldn't touch them. One of the Conquistadors put a full nelson on one of the Bees and the other Conquistador came running at them and got back dropped for his troubles.

The Conquistadors were not very good in this match as none of their offense was working and they even collided at one point. JYD and Jim Brunzell got in there with Brunzell putting on a figure four leg-lock but Boris Zhukov made the save and turned the tide on the faces. There was 4-on-1 action on Brunzell and the ref could not maintain control for shit. JYD got a hot tag in but he got shut down quickly as heat spots started for the heels. Steele hadn't been in legally up to this point. JYD got totally destroyed by the heels with lots of cheating and a missed tag for the faces. Steele finally got the tag and went crazy and the Bees got in later and hit a double hip toss on one of the Conquistadors. Does anyone know if they ever gave them any actual way of telling them apart besides assigning numbers to them? JYD got back in and delivered a big swinging scoop slam on one of the Conquistadors for the win. The crowd was heavily into this match and that made it even better.

“Mean” Gene ran down the Royal Rumble coming up and brings in Dino Bravo and Frenchy Martin.

Bravo is not only going to be in the Rumble but he will also be attempting a world bench press record, trying to beat 705 lbs. Frenchy said they're ready and that Bravo will go heavier than 705. Bravo said that only one man can claim to be the strongest in the world and that he would also win the Rumble. What a feat that would have been!

Craig DeGeorge has a special WWF report on the Rumble. First, he covered Dino Bravo's bench press challenge with an interview from Bravo in French. Next, he ran down the WWF Women's Tag Team Title Match at the Rumble between the Glamour Girls and the Jumping Bomb Angels. Both gave promos including the latter doing one in Japanese.

Bobby said that the Angels asked “did you tell them to hold the egg roll or the extra sweet and sour?” Gorilla ran down the Rumble match rules and Bobby said Harley Race thinks he'll be #20 and Gorilla replied that he heard he was trying to buy a good number.

Very short Bad News Brown promo on how there will be no more good and bad news, just bad news in the WWF.

Dino Bravo v. Jerry Allen

Just a match to put over Bravo as Allen barely got any offense in and the match had no heat in Boston. Frenchy cut a promo in French to start things off. Gorilla told Heenan that he could probably get more info on the whereabouts of Matilda from Frenchy than he could with the Brain and Bobby left. Apparently, Frenchy can speak a half dozen languages fluently. Bravo won with his side suplex and during the replay one of the Boston fans called Dino a loser.

After Gorilla had called Jesse previously on filling in at the Rumble for Heenan, Ventura called back and said he could make it. Bobby asked to speak with him and then asked him if he wanted to come to Barbados with him but Gorilla grabbed the phone away from Heenan.

Hercules/Harley Race w/Bobby Heenan v. Billy Jack Haynes/Ken Patera

This match wasn't too bad but not quite as fun as the last tag match in the episode. One story for this match is the focus on the arm brace of Ken Patera from a previous attack by Demolition. Nick Bockwinkel thought he was wearing the brace as a weapon but Vince disagreed. The fans were very into Haynes and the match was a little back-and-forth in the beginning. Patera came off the top with his brace on Hercules but he couldn't stay in control. Race nailed some headbutts until Patera made the tag to Haynes who quickened the pace a lot. Hercules and Haynes had a great fast exchange of moves that included a Herc leap frog and a Haynes leap over and it ended with a clothesline from Hercules. Race hit a belly-to-belly suplex as Haynes was being isolated. Haynes was thrown outside and Race delivered a headbutt on the floor. Herc got Haynes back in and put on his full-nelson but Haynes fought it off and Hercules stopped it. They hit a double clothesline spot and Haynes made the hot tag to Patera who got shut down quickly. Race and Herc started working on Patera's bad arm but Patera reversed an arm bar with a hip toss and made the tag. Once again, Haynes lit up the crowd with his offense and delivered a press slam to Hercules.

He put his full nelson on Herc as all four men came in and Race hit a clothesline off the top to break the hold. The ref got distracted and Hercules nailed Haynes with his chain but finally the ref called for the bell and no decision was aired. However, Bobby did say in the studio that his team was disqualified.

During the last match and before a break, Bobby showed a Hulk Hogan toy lightswitch cover he had. He said he had them installed in every room in his house so that all day long he could walk through his house and put Hogan's lights out.

In the end, Bobby told Gorilla he could do the Rumble and still make his trip to Barbados but Gorilla said it was too late.

I hope you all enjoyed the write-up and please feel free to leave some comments.  Follow me on Twitter @stevesgraps, thanks!

WWF Primetime 1-12-1988

We start out this week with Gorilla Monsoon putting over the Warrior to Bobby, saying he is like three Rick Rudes put together. Gorilla runs down the show and says we're going to see Lord Littlebrook. He asks Bobby if he is any relation to Lord Alfred and he says no and Littlebrook is a lot faster.

Bret Hart v. Paul Roma
This was a case of rookie against slight veteran. Nick Bockwinkel and Gorilla are announced and I just Nick. He talks a lot but he's so technical in analyzing every move out there. Roma was trying to stay quick but Bret wanted to slow things down a lot. Roma hit a crossbody and had Bret down for a short period. Bret kicked him to gain control and covered him after an elbow. Neither Nick nor Gorilla liked his cover and Bockwinkel said he would talk to Bret about it later. Bret had Roma in a headlock and the crowd was behind Roma all the way. Bret taunted Jim Powers who came onto the apron and distracted the ref leading to a Bret choke on Roma. Roma got his comeback but Bret hit a backbreaker followed by a middle rope elbow for the win. Roma got a decent amount of offense in but this match still wasn't anything more than average even though Gorilla called it a classic. The commentary was actually more interesting than the match, which was the theme for this whole episode.

Gorilla talked about the Dungeon in Calgary and asked Bobby if he'd ever been there. Bobby said he had but he never wrestled there and Gorilla told him he wasn't there long enough.

It's time for an Ultimate Warrior match, whom Gorilla called handsome.

Ultimate Warrior v. Steve Lombardi
Warrior came out to some Piledriver music and not his usual song but he's still over this early in his run. Lombardi began by wanting a posedown. Gorilla said Lombardi patterns himself after Terry Garvin and Pat Patterson. Gorilla wanted to ask the Warrior why he wears face paint. Lombardi didn't fair too well initially and wanted to shake hands, which the Warrior did but his handshake was too powerful for Lombardi, who sold well here.

Lombardi got control with some biting and eye rakes and kept him down with rest holds. The crowd was behind the Warrior and he hit his comeback with an awful clothesline and he yelled “mother fucker.” He gave Lombardi a press slam and dropped him behind his back and stood over him with a pin and won.

Gorilla said there was a way to get out of that hold and Lombardi should've used it to stop him.

Back in the studio, Gorilla said Lombardi was placed in a compromising position before going up for the slam in the last match. Bobby said that he has been placed in a lot of compromising positions and Gorilla agreed.

Highlights were shown from a previous Saturday Night's Main Event during a match between Hulk Hogan and King Kong Bundy. Hogan beat Bundy and Andre The Giant attacked Hogan afterwards and he choked him. The British Bulldogs tried coming in to help but Andre no sold their attacks and threw them outside the ring like yesterday's garbage. Andre went back to Hogan and JYD, Jake Roberts, and Strike Force came to help but they couldn't do much to Andre. Finally, “Hacksaw” Duggan came out with his 2x4 and whacked Andre in the back. Andre basically no sold this and stared down Duggan while the other wrestlers pulled Hogan out of the ring. “Hacksaw” ran from Andre like he saw a ghost. Andre looked so badass here, especially no selling everyone's attacks.  The picture above says it all.

Bobby Heenan said Andre is breathing down Hogan's neck and that he's coming for him.

Craig DeGeorge interviewed Ted Dibiase and Virgil. Dibiase said he gets and buys what he wants and he wants the WWF Title and he introduced Andre and Bobby who will deliver him the belt. Heenan thanked Dibiase for the money and Andre said he would deliver the belt and enjoy beating Hogan.

Back in the studio, Gorilla called Bobby a hypocrite because for the last two years Heenan has said how much he wanted the belt and now that he's got it within his grasp he's just going to throw it all away for money.

“Iron” Mike Sharpe v. Koko B. Ware
This was another average match, and it was joined in progress. Sharpe was on top until he tried a piledriver but Koko reversed it. Sharpe ended up tied in the ropes and Koko took a flying leap right at his abdomen. Sharpe regained control but missed a running move in the corner leading to Koko's comeback. Koko faked a crossbody off the middle rope and then landed a missile dropkick on Sharpe. He finished with his Ghostbuster/brain buster and pinned him.

It's always entertaining to see “Iron” Mike Sharpe though, so this match wasn't all bad.

Bobby told Gorilla that Hogan will be pushed to the point where he has to sign the WrestleMania rematch with Andre.

We've got a special report on Matilda. I know that's what everyone reading this has been waiting to hear about. Craig DeGeorge said it has now been fourteen days that Matilda has been missing and since the prayers and speculation on her has started. Did I mention how obnoxious DeGeorge is? They played a long recap of the kidnapping where the Islanders attacked the Bulldogs and kidnapped the dog. Even Matilda thinks this segment is boring.

One funny thing was that the Bulldogs started chasing after Heenan and the Islanders and they both slipped going towards the back. Jack Tunney issued a statement saying he suspended the Islanders until Matilda is found. Bobby doesn't care because he wasn't suspended and they just save the ringside fans from a violent animal that night.

Danny Spivey v. “Leaping” Lanny Poffo
I was hoping maybe Poffo would help give me something worthwhile in this match but I was wrong. This was joined in progress with Poffo in a bearhug. Spivey threw Poffo outside and stood there waiting for him, as Gorilla and Bockwinkel questioned his tactics. Poffo hit his comeback in a moonsault but only got a two-count. Poffo missed a dropkick and Spivey hit a crappy looking neckbreaker for the win. Spivey was dull here and the match was crap.

“Mean” Gene interview Ricky Steamboat about the upcoming Royal Rumble and his match with Rick Rude. He said Rude is good but he's never fought the Dragon and that he still has the fire inside him to win.

Bobby was on the phone with Miss Betty and she said she wrote a check for the Islanders that should take care of them during their suspension. He also said the WWF calls it the Royal Rumble because “The King” Harley Race is in the match and they run down the match participants and rules.

Cowboy Lang v. Lord Littlebrook

This was a midget match from Paris, France and it was a typical comedy midget match. Bobby said Lord Littlebrook was Lord Alfred's kid. Lots of comedy spots here including one where Littlebrook bit Lang's fingers and then Lang bit him in the ass as the ref tried pulling him away from his ass to no avail. He then bit the ref's ass for good measure. Gorilla asked Bobby how much tickets for the event were and said nine francs. Gorilla questioned his response and Bobby said he just hands the people a bunch of money and they take what is needed and gives back the rest. The French are honest and so is he so what's the difference he asked. Bobby also said a midget battle royal would be where you'd have to throw everyone out over the bottom rope. The finish was Littlebrook going for a duck down and Lang rolling him up with his legs for the pin. This match felt like it would never end.

Demolition w/Mr. Fuji v. Brady Boone/Billy Jack Haynes w/Ken Patera
The ref for this one is Nick Cozak and Haynes and Boone start off great. Haynes pressed Boone right on top of Smash. They kept throwing arm drags on both guys until Ax kicked Haynes from the apron while he running.

From then on, it was advantage Demoltion. Haynes got thrown out by Smash and Mr. Fuji nailed him with the cane, as well as Boone.

Haynes was getting worked over until he countered a suplex and made a tag to Boone. Boone came in with a lot of fire but he got shut down real quick and began to get decimated by his painted challengers. He was isolated for a while but Smash tried a back drop and Boone cartwheeled over him and made the tag to Haynes.

Billy Jack flew in and took everyone out and pretty soon, all four guys were in. Boone went up top, slipped a little, and tried for a crossbody but he botched it and landed on his face pretty bad. Smash got him up and gave him a hotshot and won the match.
This match wasn't incredible but it was probably the best match on the show.

Overall, the commentary and studio bits with Bobby and Gorilla were better than the matches this week. The main tag match was probably the best match of the show and most interesting. We're getting closer to the Rumble here in a couple weeks and hopefully they find Matilda soon because I can't live with myself not knowing she is safe. On to next week.
